What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. The browser’s storage, e.g. localStorage and sessionStorage, works in a similar way.
Under Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej), such data may be stored or read only with your consent. The exception is data that are necessary to provide a service you ask for yourself.
Before you make a choice
Until you click a button in the banner or open a 3D walk, the roomplace.pl website does not store any cookies or other data in your browser.
The map (OpenFreeMap) does not store cookies. What the map receives is described in the privacy policy.
The banner: OK or “Reject”
On your first visit, a banner with two equal buttons appears at the bottom of the screen: OK and “Reject”. OK switches on Google Analytics statistics and TikTok ad measurement at once. “Reject” means that the website works without statistics and without the TikTok pixel and sends nothing to Google or TikTok. Until you choose, the statistics and the TikTok pixel are switched off.
We store your choice in the rp_consent file for 12 months: whether you agree, the version of the banner and the date of your choice. This way the banner does not appear on every page. This file is needed to remember your choice, so it does not require consent.
The website works the same whatever you choose. If we change the purposes of using cookies, the banner will ask you again.
Google Analytics statistics
After you click OK, Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) stores the files _ga and _ga_YTCJHCRV95. The first lets it tell visitors apart, the second remembers the current visit. Both are stored only on roomplace.pl — for at most 2 years, and each visit extends this time.
The website always tells Google that you do not agree to ads: to advertising cookies, to sending data for advertising purposes and to ad personalisation. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services on its website.
TikTok ad measurement (TikTok Pixel)
After you click OK, the TikTok pixel stores on roomplace.pl the files _ttp, ttcsid, ttcsid_CSHLCPBC77U53KQ7KI80, ttclid (when you come from an ad on TikTok) and _tt_enable_cookie. If the browser allows it, TikTok may also store the _ttp file in its own domain tiktok.com. TikTok states that its files last up to 13 months from the last use.
With them TikTok measures whether an ad on TikTok brings people who call us, write to us or send the form, and chooses whom to show our ads to. TikTok receives identifiers from cookies, your IP address, information about the browser, the address of the page you view and the Contact and SubmitForm events, which the website sends without the content of the form. More in the privacy policy.
3D walks (Kuula)
Some address pages have a 3D walk in the Kuula player. The player loads only when you open the 3D walk yourself.
When you open the 3D walk, Kuula (kuula.co) stores the files AWSALBCORS and AWSALB. They are created by the Amazon Web Services load-balancing system that Kuula uses. They direct the player’s next requests to the same Kuula server and contain only encrypted information about the server. They are kept for 7 days, and each connection to kuula.co starts this time again. Some browsers, e.g. Chrome, do not store the AWSALB file.
These files are stored by Kuula, not by us. If you do not want them, do not open the 3D walk or block cookies from other sites in your browser. Kuula’s rules: kuula.co/legal/privacy.
How to change or withdraw your consent
There is a “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. It opens the banner again — you can then choose OK or “Reject”. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
After you withdraw consent, the website immediately stops sending data to Google Analytics and TikTok and itself deletes the files _ga and _ga_YTCJHCRV95 and the TikTok files (_ttp, ttcsid, ttcsid_CSHLCPBC77U53KQ7KI80, ttclid, _tt_enable_cookie) from your browser. The website cannot delete the _ttp file in the tiktok.com domain; you can delete it and all other cookies in your browser at any time — how to do this is described below.
How to delete or block cookies in your browser
You can also decide about cookies in your browser settings, usually in the “Privacy and security” section. There you can:
- Delete stored cookies, also only for roomplace.pl or kuula.co. After the rp_consent file is deleted, the banner will appear again.
- Block cookies from other sites.
- Block all cookies. Then the website will not remember your choice and the banner will keep appearing.
